I Focus on That Which Interests Me
Kawase's debut film, shot after a fateful encounter with an 8mm film camera. The sturdy frame honestly reflects what the photographer sees and feels. The photographs were not of any particular interest, but rather of ordinary scenes and happenings; "everything was fresh and new, and I found walking around the town to be a joy".
