Maxey

The life and times of Texas first openly gay legislature Glen Maxey who was outed by Dan Rather on CBS Evening News in the 80's. During his years as a legislature he passed more bills than anyone in the legislature and carved a path for the Children's Health Insurance Program against the opposition of then Governor George W Bush. A Stonewall Glen Maxey Award is handed out annually in honor of his contributions.
