Phone Calls

Set in the 1990s, Phone Calls centers on the summer before Seri and Carmen's sophomore year, with Seri living in Florida while her dad prepares to marry his mistress. To cope with the stress of this event, Seri talks on the phone with Carmen every single night, and they try to support each other even though they are hundreds of miles away. But will this keep their friendship -- and each other -- from falling apart?
