BattleBots

Episode 1 was the first of fifteen episodes which covered Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. It was the also the first fully-produced BattleBots episode for free-to-air television, with both previous 1999 events in Long Beach and Las Vegas being pay-per-view. This episode contained just two fights - both in the lightweight division. Brand new builds Backlash and Disposable Hero took to the BattleBox before the ladybug-themed Tentoumushi led by Lisa Winter faced off against Dallas Goecker's Sallad. The episode premiered on August 23, 2000 and served as the show's pilot to Comedy Central.

Episode 2 was the second of fifteen episodes which covered Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Continuing the lightweight tournament, Ziggo made its televised debut against The Missing Link. Elsewhere, heavyweight veterans of the US Robot Wars events Mauler 2000 and frenZy took on Nightmare and OverKill respectively in the Round of 16. The episode premiered on August 30, 2000.

Episode 3 was the third of fifteen episodes which covered Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Heavyweight robots Voltarc and Bender kicked off the episode before British axebot KillerHurtz took on Knome II. In the superheavyweight division, defending champion from the 1999 Long Beach competition Minion took on Gray Matter. The episode premiered on September 6, 2000.

Episode 4 was the fourth of fifteen episodes which covered Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. With fights spanning three different weight classes, six more robots looked to advance in their respective division. Canadian Derek Young and his stompbot Pressure Drop took on Subject to Change Without Reason in the middleweight bracket, while lightweights Mouser Mecha-Catbot and Shaft did battle. Later on, Las Vegas 1999 champion Vlad the Impaler squared off against Donald Hutson's dynamic heavyweight, Tazbot. The episode premiered on September 13, 2000.

Episode 5 was the fifth of fifteen episodes which covered Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Again covering battles from three different divisions, this episode saw the return of Backlash following its destructive Round of 32 win over Disposable Hero as it took on Tom Petruccelli's The Crusher. Middleweights Bad Attitude and Blade Runner also squared off, before superheavyweights Diesector and Grendel did battle. The episode premiered on September 20, 2000.

Episode 6 was the sixth of fifteen episodes which covered Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Two tournament battles were covered in this episode, firstly a superheavyweight clash between S.L.A.M. and DooAll, followed by a meeting between heavyweights BioHazard and Mjollnir. The third and final fight of the episode being a Lightweight Consolation Rumble consisting of ten robots. The episode premiered on September 27, 2000.

Episode 7 was the seventh of fifteen episodes which covered Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Approaching the halfway mark of the season, this episode covered three of the four weight divisions. Heavyweights Voltarc took on Long Beach 1999 champion BioHazard, while superheavyweight Rammstein took on Mark Setrakian's six-legged Mechadon. Later on, Alpha Raptor fought Tentoumushi, which got the better of Sallad in Episode 1. The episode premiered on October 4, 2000.

Episode 8 was the eighth of fifteen episodes which covered Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. This episode contained three battles, including two middleweight quarter-finals between Grant Imahara's hammerbot Deadblow and Alien Gladiator, then walker Pressure Drop and Ankle Biter. It closed out with a superheavyweight quarter-final clash between former champion Minion and surprise package Grendel, which got the better of Diesector last time out. The episode premiered on October 11, 2000.

Episode 9 was the ninth of fifteen episodes which covered Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. This episode saw the conclusion of the lightweight championship, with both semi-finals followed by the title-decider. Chuck Pitzer and Alpha Raptor first fought Fon Davis and Mouser Mecha-Catbot, before Jim Smentowski's lightweight Backlash faced Das Bot. The winners of each fight met in the final, contesting for the first Giant Nut of the season. The episode premiered on October 18, 2000.

Episode 10 was the tenth of fifteen episodes which covered Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. With the lightweight championship decided, attention moved to the remaining weight divisions. Ilya Polyakov and Blade Runner first took on Spin Orbiting Force before horizontal bar spinner Hazard squared off against Turtle Road Kill, both quarter-final battles. In the superheavyweight division, Ronin and Ginsu took to the arena. The episode premiered on October 25, 2000.

Episode 11 was the eleventh of fifteen episodes which covered Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Focusing on the heavyweight division, this episode showed three more quarter-final matches. First, de facto reigning champion Vlad the Impaler faced Team Coolrobots and OverKill. This was followed by fights between Punjar and Gammatron, then KillerHurtz and Mauler 2000. The episode premiered on November 8, 2000.

Episode 12 was the twelfth of fifteen episodes which covered Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Covering the three remaining championships, the episode began with a heavyweight semi-final bout between Vlad the Impaler and Punjar, before pivoting to the middleweight semis as Deadblow faced Pressure Drop. Later on, superheavyweights Minion and Rammstein fought for a place in the title decider. The episode premiered on November 15, 2000.[1]

Episode 13 was the thirteenth of fifteen episodes which covered Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. The remaining semi-final clashes from the heavyweight, middleweight and superheavyweight divisions were covered in this episode. Firstly, Team Delta's bar spinner Hazard took on Mike Winter and Spin Orbiting Force. Voltarc then faced British axebot KillerHurtz before Scott LaValley's DooAll took on Ronin for a place in the finals. The episode premiered on November 22, 2000.

Episode 14 was the fourteenth of fifteen episodes which covered Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. This was the final episode covering the championship tournaments, with each of the three battles being a title-decider in their respective weight division. The lightweight championship came to a close as Hazard and Deadblow fought for the Giant Nut. In the heavyweight division, Vlad the Impaler looked to secure a second title against Stephen Felk's Voltarc, and superheavyweights DooAll and Minion dueled to decide the fourth and final champion. The episode premiered on November 29, 2000.

Episode 15 was the last of fifteen episodes which covered Season 1.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. With all four Giant Nut winners determined, this episode was dedicated entirely to the Middleweight and Heavyweight Royal Rumbles. The episode premiered on December 5, 2000.

Episode 1 was the first of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Following a successful first season, BattleBots returned to Comedy Central. This episode featured just one battle - a lightweight Round of 16 clash between fan favorite Mecha Tentoumushi and Evil Fish Tank. While Tentoumushi returned having beaten Shish-ka-bot in the preliminary rounds, Evil Fish Tank was the most recent entry from Giant Nut winners Team Delta and had not yet fought given its first opponent had forfeited. The episode premiered on December 12, 2000, immediately followed by Episodes 2 and 3.

Episode 2 was the second of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Containing three fights in the heavyweight, superheavyweight and lightweight divisions, this episode saw the debut of British flipper Bigger Brother as it took on veteran US machine Mauler 51-50. Team Delta's superheavyweight War Machine looked to make its mark on the competition by taking on the 480lb Snake, while Toe-Crusher tried to step on the feet of walkerbot No Tolerance III. The episode premiered on December 12, 2000, following on from the season premiere.

Episode 3 was the third of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. In this episode, defending champion Vlad the Impaler looked to earn another Giant Nut, though thwackbot Mjollnir stood in its path. Elsewhere, Buddy Lee Don't Play in the Street made its TV debut against Turbo while an exhibition fight rounded out the episode between Ginsu and Jay Leno's own Chinkilla. The episode premiered on December 12, 2000, the same day as the first and second episodes.

Episode 4 was the fourth of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. With Season 2.0 well underway, this episode honed in on the heavyweight division and featured three fights in total. Patrick Campbell's hammerbot frenZy faced off against UK Robot Wars champion Panic Attack 3. Fellow British representatives Suicidal Tendencies and KillerHurtz also took on BioHazard and GoldDigger respectively. The episode premiered on December 19, 2000, alongside Episode 5.

Episode 5 was the fifth of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Spanning two of the four championships, this episode saw a single superheavyweight bout sandwiched between two lightweight clashes. Ziggo first squared off against Scrap Daddy LW55 before superheavyweights FrostBite and OverKill took to the arena. Lightweights Sallad and Mouser Mecha-Catbot closed out the episode. This episode premiered on December 26, 2000.

Episode 6 was the sixth of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. With four fights in this episode, heavyweights Voltronic and Bigger Brother opened proceedings, followed by middleweight robots Super Chiabot and Derek Young's latest creation, Complete Control. Superheavyweights took over the second half of the episode as Atomic Wedgie looked to upset two-time champion Minion before Toro and Tripulta Raptor squared off. This episode premiered on January 2, 2001.

Episode 7 was the seventh of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Dedicated entirely to the middleweight division, this episode covered three Round of 16 battles. The first of these was a clash between Grant Imahara's aggressive Deadblow and newcomer Kegger, followed by Blade Runner taking on Scrap Daddy MW110 and veteran The Master dueling with Subject to Change Without Reason. This episode premiered on January 9, 2001.

Episode 8 was the eighth of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Spanning the lightweight and heavyweight divisions, this episode contained three fights in total. Destructive shell spinner Ziggo first faced Afterthought 2.0 before Vlad the Impaler took on Tazbot. Later on, crowd favorite Nightmare clashed with Long Beach 1999 champion and two-time heavyweight rumble winner BioHazard. This episode premiered on January 16, 2001.

Episode 9 was the ninth of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Three fights took place in this episode, beginning with a superheavyweight clash between Revision Z and Ronin. Attention then shifted to the middleweight championship as thwackbot Spaz took on Nola Garcia's fan favorite Buddy Lee Don't Play in the Street, and then veteran The Master took on Ilya Polyakov and Blade Runner. This episode premiered on January 23, 2001.

Episode 10 was the tenth of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Three more battles took place in this episode, featuring the superheavyweight, lightweight and middleweight divisions. Donald Hutson and Diesector first faced Rammstein before Toe-Crusher and Evil Fish Tank did battle. The third and final fight of the episode saw Bad Attitude take on Deadblow. This episode premiered on January 30, 2001.

Episode 11 was the eleventh of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Containing a total of four battles - one in each weight division. Newcomer Atomic Wedgie looked to fell Inertia Labs' Toro having dethroned superheavyweight champion Minion previously, while the tracked El Diablo took on Canada's Complete Control. Elsewhere, heavyweight hammerbot frenZy faced thwackbot GoldDigger and defending champion Backlash took on Sallad. This episode premiered on February 6, 2001, immediately followed by Episode 12.

Episode 12 was the twelfth of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. With three fights spanning the lightweight, heavyweight and superheavyweight quarter-finals, Voltronic and FrostBite opened the episode before the ten-wheeled War Machine faced Scott LaValley's DooAll. The final fight of the episode saw Beta Raptor duel with The Crusher for a place in the final four. This episode premiered on February 6, 2001, doubled up with Episode 11.

Episode 13 was the thirteenth of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Covering the tail end of the lightweight division, this episode showed both semi-finals and the first title decider of the season. Ziggo and Beta Raptor squared off before Backlash took on Toe-Crusher, with the winners meeting in the lightweight final. This episode premiered on February 13, 2001, paired with Episode 14.

Episode 14 was the fourteenth of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. With the lightweight division decided, attention moved to the heavyweights. Defending champion Vlad the Impaler took on Stephen Felk's Voltronic before former title winner BioHazard looked to regain its crown, with frenZy standing in its path. After the semi-finals was the heavyweight title decider. This episode premiered on February 13, 2001, following on from Episode 13.

Episode 15 was the fifteenth of nineteen episodes which covered Season 2.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. Just two battles made up this episode, both in the superheavyweight class. Daniel Rupert and Revision Z first took on Israel Mathewson's Gray Matter, with the winner meeting Atomic Wedgie in the semi-finals. This episode premiered on February 20, 2001, with Episode 16 airing the same day.

Just two fights made up this episode as the middleweight championship kicked off with Double Agent and Turbo, and later on, Season 2.0 Rumble champion Toro squared off against the returning World Peace. The episode premiered on July 10, 2001, immediately following on from the season premiere.

Episode 3 was the third of twenty episodes which covered Season 3.0 of Comedy Central BattleBots. The superheavyweight, lightweight and heavyweight championships continued in this episode as three more battles took place. Jerry Clarkin and Hammertime took on a brand new robot from Giant Nut winner Gage Cauchois - Vladiator. Toe-Crusher and Dr. Inferno Jr. made their return to the arena, while the Watts family and Little Sister took on walkerbot Gammatron. The episode premiered on July 17, 2001 in a double slot with Episode 4.
