A dozen neighbors live in an old building at 54 Calle Amparo in Madrid. A Moroccan deaf who cares for another Spanish deaf, an English journalist, a homosexual tattoo artist, a Betty Boop fan grandmother, a Venezuelan illegal immigrant - Each one, in their own way, is witness to the changes in the Lavapiés neighborhood, in Spain and in themselves.
